Our junior high classes will begin the school year by choosing their new Scholastic books!
After selecting their Scholastic books, students will read them and follow up by taking a Scholastic test. Each year students are given a Point Goal. This goal varies upon the child and their abilities-- we know reading isn't for everyone, but we do like to challenge our students. 
Students have the entirety of the school year to meet this goal, and as a reward are eligible to attend the Recreation Center Field Trip in Carbondale, Illinois. On this trip, students rock climb, swim, play badminton and racquetball, run the indoor track, and so much more!
Our school uses a testing site called Reading Counts. Through this site, we see each students' retention for reading, as well as, where to place them in the Library. The testing site also gives each student book recommendations based on their previous tests and scores.

Password: Your passwords are your FIRST INITIAL, MIDDLE INITIAL, Last name, birth month and birth day.
Example: BRBain0321 (birth date: March 21st) or JBSmith1104 (birth date: November, 4th).
