QUALIFICATIONS
Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Illinois
Current CPR program completion
Illinois Certification as a Vision and Hearing Screening Technician preferred
Computer literacy and competency in the use of existing technology
Prior professional nursing experience preferred, particularly in pediatric, adolescent, community, or mental health nursing and health program management
State-approved IEP designation preferred
Illinois Professional Educator License with School Nurse endorsement preferred
SCHOOL NURSE
New Simpson Hill District #32 is accepting applications for a School Nurse.
Applications are due October 5, 2026.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Coordinate a comprehensive school health program and provide services to students and staff members that enhance health and wellness within the school community.
Provide basic health care support to students, including digital records management and reporting.
Perform duties in accordance with professional school nurse practice standards, district and State Board of Education policies and procedures, and Illinois law regarding nursing practice.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent nursing, organizational, and communication skills.
Candidates must also have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and high sanitary standards.
